Cool Stool Redo

Cool Stool Makeover

I found this stool in the basement of our house when we moved in. I don't know how old it is but I am pretty sure it belonged to my husband's Grandparents. It was a little wobbly but I used a rubber mallet to put some of the dowels back in place and then added a little wood glue for support. Than I sanded the entire thing down and filled any holes with wood putty. After letting the putty dry and sanding those spots again, I spray painted the entire stool with black Krylon semi- gloss spray paint. When everything was dry I added a piece of egg carton padding to the seat and recovered it with outdoor canvas, so it will be durable enough to keep up with my two boys (The hubs and my son, Buggy).

Rummage Sale Mess To Masterpiece

Rummage Sale Mess To Masterpiece
I spotted this beautiful table at a church rummage sale near my house. It needed a TON of work, but after I saw a post by Beckie over at Infarrantly Creative, I knew I could do it.

Look at all the water damage on the top... YIKES!!

But after a new top, some TLC and a new coat of paint. My $5 mess has turned into a masterpiece! But the BEST part of this WHOLE project was I did it all myself!!

I didn't know when I bought it but this table was meant to be a hand sewing/ knitting/ crochet table.... AWESOME!

Now all I need to do is add some teeny glass knobs. Anyone know where I can find some, that won't cost a fortune??
